YTSO President Tahsin BECAN attended the “Development Agencies Evaluation Meeting
Tahsin Becan, Chairman of the Board of Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO) and Member of the Board of East Marmara Development Agency, T.R. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, T.R. Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and T.R. He attended the "Development Agencies Evaluation Meeting" held at the Presidential National Library with the participation of Minister of Youth and Sports Muharrem Kasapoğlu.
Commenting on the meeting, Becan said, “We are proud of the 26 Development Agencies that provide financial and technical support to public and non-governmental actors in their regions in order to develop cooperation between public institutions, non-governmental organizations and the private sector and to ensure the effective use of local resources; At the meeting, where the Members of the Board of Directors, General Secretaries, Heads of Units and Experts were present, the activities of the agencies in the last 10 years and their vision for the next 10 years were discussed. The past activities of Development Agencies and our country's investment, production, employment and export-oriented development policies were consulted.
I find it important that Development Agencies work on a regional basis, especially when evaluated locally, by developing methods specific to their own regions and producing original solutions to the problems in their regions. Agencies carry out important studies on increasing the production and export capacities of their regions, technological development and digitalization, protection of cultural and natural heritage, development and green growth. In this context, we carry out joint studies with our East Marmara Development Agency on many projects locally. I believe that the resources of the development agency should be used more by the representatives of the private sector in the local economy, and that the financial resources allocated to a certain extent should be used in the private sector, not public institutions, in areas such as business development, exporting, and contribution to the manufacturing processes of our members.” Said.
