YTSO President Cemil Demiryürek attended Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Award Ceremony

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) New Service Building Opening and Sustainable Performance 2024 Award Ceremony. Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YTSO) Chairman Cemil Demiryürek also took part in the ceremony.

In his speech at the ceremony, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kocaeli has become an important center in Turkey's industrial production and that Kocaeli's power is a great driving force for Turkey. He said that Kocaeli plays a major role in production capacity and is among the provinces with the highest production capacity in 4 thousand products. Kocaeli also accounts for 10% of Turkey's total exports and is the leader in automotive exports.

Emphasizing that Kocaeli's industrial infrastructure is supported by OIZs, technoparks, free zones, universities and ports, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Turkey also wins with every success Kocaeli achieves. He also stated that Kocaeli contributed more than the total of 69 provinces in terms of tax revenues.

Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, President of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, stated that industrialists will continue their efforts in the fields of sustainability, circular economy and green transformation.
Awards were also presented at the ceremony. Following the opening of KSO's new service building, Optimum Process Design and Applications AŞ won the “SME Scale Enterprise” award, KORDSA Teknik Tekstil AŞ won the “Large Scale Enterprise” award and Systemair HSK Havalandırma Endüstri Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ won the “Excellence” award.
YTSO President Cemil Demiryürek wished the new service building of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry to be auspicious and stated that he believed that the achievements of KSO would contribute to the sector and the region. Demiryürek also congratulated the award-winning companies and emphasized that these achievements were achieved with the determination and perseverance of industrialists. He stated that they will continue to work to further strengthen Yalova's industrial potential and that they are determined to continue their cooperation with TOBB in order to find solutions to the challenges faced by their members.
