Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Tahsin Becan, YTSO Vice President Özkan Şenel, TOBB Delegates Cemil Demiryürek, İhsan Yılmaz, Birol Yalçınkaya and Güney Kartal and Chamber Secretary General Taner Eriş 70th Anniversary of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). therefore, he participated in the program held in Ankara.

On the 70th anniversary of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB); Representatives of the business world from 81 provinces met at the Union Center in Ankara. At the meeting hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu; Mehmet Muş, Minister of Commerce, Cemil Çiçek, who served as the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Hayati Yazıcı, who served as the Minister of Commerce, Deputies, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chambers and Exchanges and Parliament, and delegates.

In his speech, Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş congratulated TOBB's 70th anniversary and said, "We have always been aware of the fact that TOBB, which has managed to become one of the strongest and most effective organizations in our country, plays a very important role in the economic development of our country. The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey has continuously improved itself since its establishment, and as a result of its 70-year journey, it has become an important global actor that carries out worldwide collaborations and carries our private sector abroad with the tasks it has undertaken.

In his speech, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu explained that as a community, they have come a long way in 70 years. Explaining that as the Board of Directors, they decided to create the 70th Anniversary Memorial Forest in order to crown its 70th anniversary, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We will plant exactly 70 thousand saplings. We will bring this forest, which befits our community, to our country. Thus, we will both contribute to the environment and nature, and leave a permanent legacy to future generations.”

Noting that TOBB has transformed from a local institution to a global actor in 70 years, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have joined forces in the private sector with the activities they have increased and the institutional capacity they have developed. Stating that they have come to a position of defending the rights and law of the private sector at the international level, TOBB President stated that they identified the obstacles in front of the business and investment environment and conveyed them to the government.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “Leading to realize Turkey's dream of producing automobiles, realizing TOGG, initiating licensed warehouses, which is our 50-year dream in agriculture, establishing the Turkish Product Specialization Exchange, opening a Trade Center abroad and offering a wide range of special services. We have reached a level where the Chamber-Exchange system is an example in the world, providing services to the sector and facilitating its work. We have become the pioneers of change and transformation. Of course, we still have a lot of work to do. To get our country to the place it deserves, the business world has to run faster.”

In the 70th anniversary event, service honor certificates and plaques were presented to the delegates and general secretaries who served for 10-20-30 years. Yalova TSO Secretary General Taner Eriş received his plaque from TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Trade Minister Mehmet Muş.
