On 10/11 February 2024, the Trade Registry Practices Symposium and Registry Academy Launch took place at the TOBB building in Ankara, Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Deputy Minister of Commerce Mahmut Gürcan, Ministry of Commerce officials, 238 Trade Registry managers and directorate staff attended the launch, our Chamber Trade Registry Manager İbrahim Akkanat, Deputy Trade Registry Manager M.Emrah Akın, Başak Erdinç, Gözde Yıldız attended.

During the symposium, developments and innovations in trade registry issues were discussed. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasised that the most important records in a state are the trade registry, population and title deed, and stated that they have signed a major reform, and stated that while 7 separate bureaucratic procedures were required to establish a new company in the past, it has now been reduced to a single signature, and the announcement publication period of 2 days has been reduced to half an hour. Hisarcıklıoğlu, explaining that by doing an important job in terms of the environment, we switched to digital, said, "We have saved 100 tonnes of newsprint, 10 tonnes of first pulp paper, 1 tonne of nylon bags and cargo packages, cargo costs, fuel, energy, stationery and archiving costs. We also ensured the efficient use of human labour. With the green transformation, we also contributed to the economy. We completed the last working day of 2023 by breaking the all-time record by publishing 12,309 announcements in one day. We achieved all this together."

At the launch, the trade registry management team and expert staff benefited from each other by sharing their experiences and knowledge. This important meeting was considered as a platform where critical decisions were taken for the future of trade registry practices.

İbrahim Akkanat, Trade Registry Manager of our Chamber, answered the questions of the participants after the presentation of the type change from Limited Company to Joint Stock Company.

Our Yalova Trade Registry Directorate was awarded with a plaque by the Ministry of Commerce and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) for his duties in the Registry Academy sub-working groups, and our Trade Registry Manager İbrahim Akkanat was also awarded with a plaque as a speaker at the Symposium.

The Registry academy, which will start to serve from today, is a work that will guide all our trade registry directorates in terms of application unity.
