Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, with the cooperation of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the project "Hezarfen Bursa - Yalova", which carries innovation to SMEs, was launched with the opening ceremony held in Bursa on May 11, 2022. .

The opening speeches of the ceremony, which was attended by many guests from the business world and bureaucrats, were made by Turkish Patent and Trademark Office President V. Cemil BAŞPINAR, Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Tahsin BECAN and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Deputy Chairman of the Assembly Metin ŞENYURT.

In his speech, TÜRKPATENT President V. Cemil BAŞPINAR pointed out that the countries that have information and control it are in the position of powerful countries, and pointed out that intellectual property rights, more specifically industrial property rights, such as patents, utility models, brands and designs, determine the direction of global competition. He said he was at the head of the vehicles.

Tahsin BECAN, Chairman of Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, pointed out that Yalova, which is small in terms of surface area, contributes greatly to the country's exports and stated that they are happy to be a stakeholder in such a project.

BTSO Deputy Chairman of the Assembly Metin ŞENYURT also said that Bursa is among the leading cities of Turkey in terms of intellectual and industrial property. He stated that last year, 450 patents, 7 thousand 896 trademark applications, 309 utility models and 5 thousand 391 design applications were made from Bursa.

At the ceremony where the cooperation protocol was signed after the speeches, plaques were given to the representatives of the companies that made the most patent, utility model, brand and design applications in Bursa and Yalova between 2017-2021.
