Stating that he came to Yalova as a teacher in 1949, Gezer said, “The population of Yalova was around 3000 in those years. There were 2 commercial taxis. My first place of duty was Kirazlı village, and then I worked as a teacher in Dereköy, Teacher Yusuf Ziya, Hamdi Girgin and Gaziosmanpaşa Schools. I attended the Religious Culture and Music classes at Yalova Secondary School and Yalova High School. I retired after my duties as Yalova Public Education Directorate. I still continue my choir studies in Yalova Music Association. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our teachers on 24 November Teachers' Day.
