The date of 19 May 1919, the milestone of the Turkish nation having a say in its own destiny and country administration, is also a symbol of a new beginning and a national awakening for our nation, the beginning of the road that goes back to October 29, 1923, when the independent, modern, contemporary and secular Republic of Turkey was established. May 19, 1919, should be explained very well to our children and youth.

Our youth have great responsibilities in keeping our national sovereignty, unity and solidarity under the leadership of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and to continue forever. For this reason, such special days are of great importance. The basic condition for creating a strong Turkey is a strong and independent economy. A strong economy is only possible with a self-confident, well-trained and well-equipped youth.

We commemorate our War of Independence heroes, especially Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, with gratitude and gratitude. Aware that it is our greatest duty to deliver the Republic of Turkey to the next generations in the best possible way, I congratulate all our youth and our country on May 19, the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
